White and the ground go to the disposal, black goes through a switch and then to the disposal. All three go through the switch box, the white and ground just pass through on the way to the disposal. Break the black with the switch.
As a very expensive garbage disposal. Anything you throw at it (i.e. toxic waste, nuclear waste, etc.) with be disposed of without side effects to the environment.

Black garbage cans can regularly be found in department stores such as Target or Walmart. Chrome garbage cans are not likely to be found in chain stores, but would warrant looking on Amazon or Craigslist.
Well, sort of. Pewtarex can be washed in a dishwasher if you don't mind the discoloration that is caused by the detergent and high temps. It will get darker and darker with every wash in the dishwasher. I have friends who do so and their set is nearly black after years of dishwasher use! The factory outlet recommends washing with regular dish soap in the sink. So, for my own use I have opted for this formula to keep my Pewtarex shining... if I'm going to serve from it and looks matter, it goes in the sink with dawn liquid and a non scrubby sponge. If I use it for cooking and baking only, I put it right in the dishwasher.

I suggest running the dishwasher with detergent and about a quarter cup of laundry bleach. Let run the full cycle at high heat. Even if a dishwasher is not used often there is still moisture in it, the black is most likely some type of mold.
