Well it depends what type of bird it is,you could teach a budgie.The way to teach it is to just say the same word every time in front of your bird.(But make sure not to say any swear words).In a couple of months it will start saying what you said alot of times. You can teach your bird to make many different noises. The key to teaching your bird to say something is repetition. make the desired noise repeatedly every day and eventually, your bird will hopefully start making the noise themselves. Not all species of birds will talk though.The best birds for talking would be parrots. Some examples would be * Macaws * conures * cockatiels * parakeets

Well, if you want a pet bird that's small, doesn't bite so much, doesn't sing in the night, or stuff like that. Then, a parakeet is a great pet for you, but if you aren't a beginner bird owner then there's many kinds, but masters usually have parrets, but their expensive. Anyways parakeet are able to talk (i have 2 parakeets).
