Tight underwear can be a source of thrush as well as wearing pants that are too tight and do not allow air to circulate. You want to wear loose clothing that does not restrict your crotch area. Also avoid douches or feminine washes that interfere with the natural flora and pH of your genital area.

Thrush is a fungal infection resultant from an endemic spore. You almost never see a thrush infection without a compromised immune system, so this disease is a harbinger of other problems. The treatment for this on humans (and possibly dogs) is a course of prescription medice (Diflucan, Fluconazole, etc,), so you likely can't treat at home. And in this case you shouldn't.
