This may due to the fact of the lack of control of attention, causing a person with ADHD to have a hard time 'shutting' off their thoughts to be able to sleep.
Because there is something in his/her life that is stressful and probably needs to think about more before going to bed. The pillow or the matress could be the problem. Or you could have a song stuck in your head that you can't get out. Try making sure you have an hour away from the computer or iPod before going to bed. TV is still ok. But if you still have trouble sleeping with no computer and ipod but TV then you would have to try being away from the TV at least an hour before you go to sleep.

If you go to the teens doctor tell them he or she has ADHD and they should recomend or have the teen try a type of medication usually they will ask some questions and that will help them figure out what medication is right for the teen

This depends if you have ADHD or not. If you do have ADHD, it will calm you down, and it will be prescribed to you. If you do not have ADHD it will make you hyper, jittery, nervous, and sometimes a bit scary. It will NOT be prescribed if you don't have ADHD. In any case, you will stop eating or sleeping, and easily become addicted to it.
