go to bed, drink lots of fluids, drink something warm, eat plenty of soup, get lots of sleep, relax with no loud noises, use a heated blanket (if you have one), stay away from others (if even remotely possible to prevent getting more sick, and to prevent others from getting sick hence, getting you sick again) , use a hot water bottle (again, if you have one), try taking zinc (it works better on some than others), DO NOT GO OUT SIDE it may make you even more sick because of the time of year or weather! all of these steppes have worked for me i hope they will work for you too.
also whoever put just `go to bed' that is the most inefficient answer i have ever heard in my life!!
I believe that if you have a cold then besides taking medicine then you should layer yourself in blankets and sleep for a while. Also you should frequently wash your face and hands and drink something warm to keep you hydrated. Relax, the best thing to do is just sit down with a pillow behind your back and a blanket on top of you. And since some have laptops then I suggest keeping the laptop on top of you because it gets warm sometimes and just relax. After sweating alot alot alot then take a shower. Trust me this is the cure to a cold. It helped me get better in a day tops. When I woke up the next morning I was refreshed and better than ever.
I do not think they get rid of colds but they help in cold symptoms.
No. Getting out in the sun may help get rid of a cold, but running or any physical exercise is contraindicated (not good) when you have a cold. Your body needs rest to do the work to get rid of your cold, so you should avoid strenuous exercise like running if you want to get rid of a cold faster.
