Get Grecian formula or shave it off.
You can remove sticky label residue with simple cooking oil, a soft cloth and a little rubbing.

Duct tape will leave behind a sticky, gummy residue that embeds into the carpet fibers. To get rid of the residue, scrap as much as possible with a butter knife. Place a damp cloth on the spot and rub a warm iron on it. Use a goo remover on the remaining residue.
When cleaning new dishes or glasses, the sticky residue will come off with soap and hot water. Goo Gone and rubbing alcohol also work for stickier, stubborn residue.
It's stubborn. Use 1 of those razor scrapers from a hardware store & then just get the residue with some kind of solvent.
