try being funny getting his mind of it It is hard for guys to verbally express their feelings and at times showing them as well. In order for him to even consider opening up in anyway he would need to feel comfortable and be able to trust you and only he can control those feelings however you can certainly try gaining those feelings. It is best to not be overbearing or pushy when it comes to "feelings" as this will only push him away and could end a relationship. Let him decide if and when he confides in you - if and when he is ready he will tell you but don't push him. Let it be and watch/notice how he acts and little things as he could be subtly telling you things through his own ways he knows how without actually having to profess himself.
