∙ 8y agoWell depending on year and model and also on what type of radio you have there are two buttons that must be pressed at the same time and held until 0000 shows on the display. It is usually either 2 buttons right on top of each other like one on top and one right beneath it or it is one on the upper left and one on the bottom right.

∙ 13y agoif you have the radio code understand that 1--is 1 and no number is zero--turn key to on without starting vehicle, turn on radio and it should say "safe". hold down mode and scan at same time for about 5 sec..the radio should display "1000". enter code you have and then hold down mode and scan again for 5 sec--radio should turn on. If the radio display flashes safe then try again but may have wrong code.. you only get 3 tries, then have to disconnect battery again..Hoped this helped ya out--

∙ 12y agoYou have to enter the security code...whatever numbers... etc. mine is 1956 then hold down FM and scan at the same time, then go over and click on the seek-scan button, that unlocks mine from safe mode.

You must have the car at least one click for 2 hours STRAIGHT then the radio will ask for the code. you will have 3 chances to get the code right. If you do not have the code you can stop by a local Volvo dealer.
