On the 2.7 litre engine, the intake air temperature sensor is located in the plastic air plenum that runs from the air filter box to throttle body just right of the throttle body. It is inserted at the top of the air plenum and when pulled out of the plenum, looks like a small electronic resistor(thermistor)It changes resistance when its temperature changes.
