In order to make your content relevant, you have to make sure that it is providing an answer to a question or a problem. Something that gives the reader a reason to be looking at your blog. It also needs to be in a format that will let other people link to it. Why are people reading your blog? Is it a personal one, a business, a hobby? Give your readers a reason to be there.

Google doesn't want results that are useless to their users, which is why you need good content, but they also want to know what your blog is about. Make sure your url is clean and explains what the post is about (example: myblog.com/1121233 tells you nothing, while myblog.com/I-want-a-pony tells you exactly what the post is about.)
