Just yesterday, the anti-theft alarm (intermittent horn blasts) on our Dodge Caravan was triggered. Don't know how, but assume it was a system fault. Every time we tried to start the vehicle the horn would blast away. Could not figure out how to stop it. We do not have a remote key bob. Heck, we bought the van second hand, we didn't even know the vehicle had an anti-theft system. What a way to find out! If you call the Dealer, they'll likely tell you to bring the van in because they need to reset something in the computer control module. That's what they said when we called. The following WORKED for me, and didn't cost a cent. There is a small fuse for the Horn, and a larger fuse for the Horn Relay. Removed the Horn fuse, and of course the horn would no longer beep upon starting the vehicle, but now all sorts of lights were flashing on and off -- and not just the headlights. So, removed the Horn Relay fuse as well (could hear it clicking). The lights stopped flashing. Then turned off the ignition, and replaced both the Horn fuse and the Horn Relay fuse. Re-started the vehicle and everything was back to normal -- no intermittent horn blasts or lights flashing on and off. Have had no re-occurrences of the problem, not yet anyway.
How to disengage Pontiac Montana 2002 anti-theft system
The factory security system is reset by unlocking the doors with a key or remote.
Try locking and closing the doors and then open the drivers door with the key.
Will not run until dealer over rides the anti-theft circuit in engine controller

The button on the key fob generally does that for you.
