Ignore him. I mean completely ignore him. They are good at reading even the slightest cues so you have to TOTALLY AND COMPLETELY REMOVE THEM FROM YOUR LIFE. This will cause in them a Narcissistic Injury and they will go into a rage so be sure you are safe. Also remember they LOVE revenge and backbiting to ruin your good name.

∙ 13y agoYour best option for revenge would be an ego shot. Something that will make him feel as though hes viewed as incompetent. Pride is his everything, if you bruise his pride you do more harm than physical injury.

∙ 7y agoEverything upsets a narcissist. They imagine all sorts of hurts. It is because of their wounded ego they perceive everything to be a threat, so they retaliate and twist information to fit their needs. The Narcissistic Supply needs.
When they say they don't do it to hurt you, they might be telling the truth. I read that "hurting you" is just a consequence of them feeling good, their needs are coming first.
One Narcissist was truly incapable of seeing how I would be hurt by something they did or said, no wonder he'd done it so regularly. Thought he only knew how to love animals or the house pet but even then he'd neglected or did not consider all of its needs, he mostly knew how to provide financially for it but even that was a hassle.
