Normally you glue it together. Where it meets steel or copper, you use the proper fitting on the PVC to accept the steel or copper. For steel on the drain, a rubber connection with hose clamps can also be used.
The only way would be some kind of mechanical connection. That is a rubber coupling known as a Robar Coupler or something like that . This is not a conventional connection and you may have to convert your PVC up a size or two (which only means fitting a reducer) If you measure outer and inner dimensions of both pipes and take those measurements to your local Plumbing wholesaler they will at least tell you what exactly you need, if not sell you it 'on the side'
I am assuming by "tail pipe" that you mean the thin drain pipe from a sink. This can be connected to a PVC pipe by using a compression fitting. Your local home improvement/ hardware store should be able to help with this.
It will connect to the PVC pipe into the wall which ultimately will connect into the main sewer line outside.
C x M adapter C x F adapter PVC x F adapter PVC x M adapter or Thread if your really using "pipe" in lieu of "tubing"
purchase a threaded connector, for the PVC pipe, then purchase a metal threaded adaptor for soft pipe, see your hardware man,
You can't. There is no fitting to do this. Galvanized has to be threaded.
Male to female threaded adapters.
You can often find a modern connector such as Sharkbite or Qwest fitting to do this.
Clay has a bell part, attach below the bell a FERNCO rubber boot type fitting which is the diameter of the clay pipe. It will go from PVC pipe to the clay pipe. The Fernco are heavy neoprene rubber tubes with stainless steel squeeze straps at each end. You might want to use some black piping tape over the metal if you're going to put this underground. For inserting a spigot end into a bell ,, there are some good epoxys made for this purpose.. Use PVC it's easier to work with.. For the other side, I'd personally just avoid the bell and cut it off with a circular saw with a masonary blade than use epoxys. Check with your local inspection people .. They should be able to give some good advice..
Abs to PVC glue sold at home depot Color it aqua blue/green plumbers key term. GUMBY GLUE Depends upon what you mean by "black pipe". If you mean ABS drain pipe, there is glue for that. If you mean steel "black pipe", i.e., non-galvanized, then you would need a threaded connection adapted to the PVC (either a female PVC connector on a male black pipe or a male PVC connector into a female black pipe fitting). The secondary question would be, "Why would anyone want do to that?"
I was in the PVC pipe manufacturing business for over 30 years and have never heard of a "1K PVC" pipe. If "1K" means a 1,000 psi pipe, this does not exist as a commercial product. Sorry.
An instrument made of PVC pipe.
If the brass threaded nipple is a male end and the PVC side is a female end, wrapping thread tape around the nipple and then screwing it into the female PVC end will provide a secure and watertight connection.
You don't, you remove the plastic junk and replace the toxic plasatic with cast iron
