There are many ways to "clean" water.
To purify your tap water one can purchase a purifier attachment, that goes on the end of the sink.
One can boil water which rids the water of anything living, bacteria, viruses, etc.
There is also reverse osmosis which water bottling companies tend to use. It's basically forced filtering. Water is put through a pressurized chamber where only water will pass through. Anything else in the water gets filtered out because the pressure acts differently among different substances.
