How do you check lower ball joints on a Ford Taurus - Mercury Sable?

- Lift and safety jack the front of the car
- Grab the wheel at the 12 and 6 o'clock positions and push/pull real hard
- Look / feel for any movement at the point where the steering knuckle & lower control arm join together (that the lower ball joint)
You might want to have someone give you a hand as it's pretty awkward to be both the observer and the wheel-wiggler - Any movement indicates the joint is bad and requires replacement
