To remove stud: Hit it with a hammer. It will pop out. Don't be afraid to hit it fairly hard.
To install: Grease the threads of the new stud. Set the stud approximately in place. Grease three flat washers and a new nut. Put on first the three washers, then the nut. Use an impact wrench to tighten the nut until it draws the stud into place. Remove and discard the nut and three washers. Clean off the grease. But the brakes and wheel back on. Use another new lug nut.
remove tire un bolt and hold the caliper out of the way the rotor just slides on the studs
Remove the brake drum. Take a hammer and smack the stud you want to replace sharply on top of the threaded area and it should pop out the back.
dodge caravan front brake rotors should come off after removing the brake caliper. first check for any hardware that may hold the rotor in place, then hit the rotor with a hammer, in between the wheel mounting studs. (not on the area where the brake pads make contact. this should knock the rotor loose. good luck.
those drums are not pressed on. what you need to do is tap it with a hammer and spin it arround tap it in different spots until it comes loose then pull it off with your hands. be careful not to strike the wheel studs. it might take a few minutes to get it off. make sure the emergency brake is released.
How do you change front tire studs on a 1994 Seville sts
Trim the wheel behind the studs
1/2 inch
1/2 Studs
you dont need to remove hub just remove the caliper and spider washers on studs
You have to heat up the contact points the rotor around the studs with MAP gas then try hit it but if that doesent work then you need a torch (MAP and oxgen) to get it red hot.
8 per wheel
If the hub won't slide off the studs freely you may have to remove the rubber insert on the back of the brake shoe plate and loosen the shoes by sticking a narrow bladed scredriver through the opening and turning the adjustment screw. Hope this works or at least helps.
