To change Input on the Dynex television without the remote, a person can use the channel selector buttons. Change the channel manually to the lowest possible number, then go lower until the right Input is reached.

∙ 10y agoDepending on the exact model number, there might be different ways available for you. Although, the most simple way to get the TV into input mode for most models is to change the channels until you reach the first/last channel on the TV. Then channel up (or down - depending on what way you went before) again once more and the TV will automatically try to scroll through the inputs.

Hope this helps anyone like myself that was trying to set the remote codes on a Yamaha Receiver remote for a Dynex TV. I have a 32" Dynex in a second viewing area that I wanted to control with the RAV367 remote from my Yamaha RX-V1800 AV Receiver. I went through dozens of codes gathered from numerous websites, all with no luck. I finally decided to try programing it directly remote to remote with Yamaha's "Programing codes from other remote controls" chapter on page 104 of the RX-V1800's owner's manual. To my delight it worked perfectly and I now have most of the remote commands I use most often. The only alteration I made was to use the "TV Mute" control button on the RAV367 to set the TV input from the Dynex remote while using the "TV Input" button on the RAV367 to control the HDMI input. Other than that slight alteration every function I normally used on the Dynex remote I can now control with the Yamaha remote. I hope this helps.
