How do you change the brake lights on a 2000 Chrysler Sebring?
In the trunk, you'll find two screws that, once loosened, will allow you to remove your light assembly. Take the bulbs out - I replace them all at once so not to have to do this again soon - and reassemble. Tom Pay It Forward

The complete trim cover of the third brake light needs to be removed. 1. Open trunk to access several screws that fix the trim cover in backward direction 2. Open convertible …top at least slightly to find the hex srews that hold the trim cover in forward direction (they are upside down and cannot be seen from the top) After all screws are removed the trim cover can be lifted. The brake light is of the sealed LED type and can only be replaced as a whole unit, unless you repair it on your own.

The Left and Right are very easy. . There are 3 1" diameter plastic spinner nuts on each side in the trunk, very visible and accessible Remove these nuts. and entire light as…sembly will then be free from the rear body panel ...pull toward rear. This exposes all the lamps. The lamp holders are 1/4 turn to release and the old lamps can be pulled out and replaced, note polarity. The center lamp requires you to remove the trunk liner under the back shelf. pry loose the 4 plastic "pine trees" this will expose the lamp holder . It takes two lamps for the center.
peel back the trunk liner.....should be two or three screws. unscrew and pull the entire light assembly out its a pain in the but!
Answer . does the third brake light work? if not probably brake light switch but check the fuse first. if yes, there are thes really cheezey circuit boards in the tail lig…ht housings that go bad all the time. they look like plastic strips.
Answer . should be in the trunk! you need to pull the liner down from the sides of the trunk behind the lights! you will see the back of the lights turn it counterclockwis…e then pull out!
What would i need to change or check on a 2000 Chrysler Sebring if the brakes were going to the floor and there is no pressure even if you pump the brakes?
First thing is to check the fluid level and check for leaks. Alsocheck the calipers and pads for proper installation and movement.

The one thing I would do is go to Wal*Mart, and find the book for the make and model of the car, and buy it. Go home and take out the bulb and go buy one and then install it y…ourself.
remove the 2 screws above headlights that you see when you lift the hood...then push whole assembly towards the center of the car to release clips. housing will come out then …you can change bulb
