Each grade has points associated to it:

A=4

B=3

C=2

D=1

for + grades add 0.3 and - subtract 0.3

Then it depends whether you want 'weighted' or 'unweighted' GPA. For 'unweighted' you simply add the grade points for each class and divide by the total classes.

For 'weighted' you multiply the grade point by the amount of credits the class is worth, sum the totals and divide by the sum of credits.

395.5214/100 = 3.955214

It dosnt matter what percentage it is after 80.0 its a 3.0 i.e. an 89.9 is still a 3. Gpa 1-4 is, <90-100= 4.0, <80-90=3.0, <70-60= 2.0,etc.

3.8 = x

4.0 5.0
