It's said to be a 28 day cycle. Mark the first day of your period on a calander in one colour count out 28 days forward and mark it with another colour. You will be due 'around' this date. When the next period comes mark the day with the first colour. You should find that your period comes around the same day each month. You'll very quickly learn exactly when your due, unless your periods are irregular.

Cycles vary from woman to woman. For most its a 28 day cycle but can range upto 35 days. But just do what the above answer has suggested because this is the right way to do it. It will take atleast 3 to 4 months before you actually see a regular patten. Unless of course your period is irregular.

Day 1 is the first day you start bleeding. You simply continue counting until your next period.
You count from the first day of bleeding for one period to the first day of bleeding for the next.

You count how many days from the first day of your period up until your next period - this is one menstrual cycle. You then figure out the average over your next six cycles - this is your average menstrual cycle, and if your cycles are regular your periods will come within a week of this. Of course, you could also use a period tracking app or learn to use FAM so you always know your cycle.

The average menstrual cycle is 28 days, but everyone can be different.

You count from day one of your period up until your next period, this is one cycle - figure out the average of your last six cycle to give you an idea of your average cycle length, anything within a week of that is considered to be normal. You can use period tracking apps to work this out for you.

You may also want to try using Fertility Awareness Method, this allows you to track your cycle on a daily basis so you know exactly when your period is going to start.

Day one of your period is day one of your menstrual cycle, continue to count until your next period - this is one cycle. Figure out the average of your last six cycles by adding all these together and dividing by six: this is your average menstrual cycle, if your cycles are regular your periods should fall within seven days of this cycle length. Your cycles can change all the time so you have to keep up with this, thus it's easier to use period tracking apps on your phone or via web sites.

The typical menstrual cycle is 28 days, but everyone is different.

Count from day one of your period up until your next period, that is one cycle - figure out the average of your last six cycles to get an idea of your average menstrual cycle. It's normal to have up to a weeks variation from your average cycle, and cycles will change over time. You can use menstrual tracking apps to keep track of your periods and average cycle length.

Is it normal for you period to start late in march because of February being a short month?

February being a short month should have nothing to do with your period start date. So if your period starts late in March, it is not as a result of how many days are in February. Your period should come when it is due; if it is later than usual, you might want to take a pregnancy test or consult your doctor.

If you didn't have your period this month and you start taking the pill on the 30Th when will the pill start working?

You shouldn't start taking the pill until you have started or have just ended you period. You should speak to your doctor about when you should start taking the pill if it has been prescribed to you for cycle regulation because you will need to make sure that the reason you have not had a period is not due to pregnancy.

When does a girl have their period?

Once a girl has started menstruating, her period should come about once a month and will last for about 5 to 7 days. Cycles vary, though, and what is "normal" for one girl will not be "normal" for another. Some girls have very regular periods and will be able to calculate exactly when their bleeding will start and finish, while others have more irregular cycles and it can be difficult to pinpoint exactly when the period will start and end.
