Three options are readily available: 1. Officer Academy 2. ROTC 3. OTS (Officer Training School) Air Force enlisted members can become officers by first finding out their eligibility to apply for Officer Training School (OTS) or the Officer Academy. You must be of a certain age in order to qualify (the age is near 21 or 22 as a cut off point for the Academy, where you can obtain your degree while training to be commissioned when you graduate. Yet attending OTS, which is a twelve week course, means you already have a four year degree and wish to become an Air Force Officer. ROTC (Reserve Officer Training Corps) is another option that enlisted members can participate in while attending college. You can attend college while studying to attain your four year degree in certain technical fields required in order to be commissioned as a second Lieutenant. You would be getting paid as an enlisted member at the rank of E-5 (Staff Sergeant) while taking ROTC specific courses (Only if you are going through the Air Force course of AECP, will you get paid to go to ROTC). Eligibility for ROTC is not as extensive, yet it means becoming an officer which requires a lot of knowledge and leadership skills to begin with. Enlisted or not, you must take the AFOQT (Air Force Officer Qualifying Test).

There are several ways: # The United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado. # Officer Candidate School- If the Air Force deems you worth it while youre enilsted, they will send you to OCS to receive your commission. # Officer Training School (OTS)- If you have your bachelors degree you can go through OTS to become a second lieutenant. # Reserve Officers Training Corps (ROTC)- While in College you may participate in ROTC for 4 years to get your commission.

First you must attend college and complete at the least a Bachelors Degree for an Accredited College or University, then you must make sure you do not have a questionable background (no serious law violations), score well on the ASVAB (depends on branch but have at least a 110 GT score), meet the Age requirement (depends on branch). Complete Basic Training/Boot Camp, Officer Candidate School and Job training.

The first way is if you would like to join AFROTC (Air Force Reserve Officer Training) This is a time when students apply for ROTC, which can pay for all of your college tuition, as well as book fees, and an allowance. Here you will live a normal college life, every couple days in a week/month you all join up at the nearest major college offering AFROTC (cross-town college).

The second way is OTS (Officer Training School). It is a rigorous 12 week training session, to try and bring out the leader in you and push you to your limits.

Personally, I am a freshman in High School, and I plan on going to AFROTC or NROTC.

*** The other way is USAFA ( United States Air Force Academy). This is like college, except it is more strict and everything is based on military, opposed to normal AFROTC.

Good luck!
