The handbrake?
The 2000 Mazda 626 rear brake adjuster is located on the and of the brake pad. The brake adjuster is a screw. Your brakes should automatically adjust every time you back up and apply the brake.
The handbrake is ajusted in two ways. Firstly it has rear handbrake drums which can be adjusted. Secondly remove the armreast console from around the handbrake lever and there is an ajustment nut here as well.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tb1ul7yZ3FU The above decribes how to adjust the brakes on the ford 2000, 3000, and 5000 tractors.
I have a chev g1500 2000. Does anyone no how to ajust the rear brakes?
disc brakes are self adjusting unless the pads are bad or the caliper is bad.
On 2000 Mazda protege's the rear drum brake shoes use self-adjusters, they (sometimes) self-adjust, it looks like two levers facing each other and when you push the brake shoes away from each other the self adjusters move out more, adjust these until there is about 1 turn of drag on your brake rotor with the drum on, of course. If the handbrake is still lower than desired there is a 10mm nut (use a deep socket) on the drivers side of the handle inside the rubber flap, turn this to adjust brake lever height.
Behind the handbrake lever there is an ashtray Take out ash tray Losen off smallbolt (3mm alen key) and you will see adjuster nut Ensure your car is on flat ground and wont roll away Release handbrake and tighten up adjuster nut till you get around 3 or 4 clics when you pull the lever up Check you have not adjusted to much by putting in first gear and lift clutch to just past biting and feel for back brakes sticking on Hope this helps G
All of the brake pads on your 2000 Nissan will have adjustment nuts. You can turn the adjustment nuts to tighten or loosen the brake pads.
Take off the centre section of the exhaust and the heat shield and behind them you will see the handbrake cable, were the cable goes from two into one there is an adjustment nut to tighten it. Think its 13MM. turn it towards the front of the car to tighten the handbrake. If you have rear drum brakes you could also adjust the handbrake by pushing the shoes out a few clicks but that involves opening the drums and is more complicated.
you gotta remove the rear wheels, and drums. then you spray brake cleaner throughout the entire brakes, and allow to air dry, don't breathe in the dust. you might need a pan to catch the dirt and fluid. once dry, reinstall drums, and with a screwdriver. remove the rubber plug from the drum to access the star adjuster for the rear brakes. position the hole to the top ,put the driver in about 2 inches and start adjusting it(should be downwards) mount the wheels and there you go.
