Only if you think of pure water 1 kg is 1 cubic decimeter. 1 cubicmeter of water weighs 1 ton and that is 1000 kilograms. But forget syrup and oil. You need the specific weight (density) there. Use this fine little helper. Scroll down to related links and look at "Weight and Mass".

To convert volume you will need density (mass/volume). It is necessary to use this formula: Density= Pressure / Specific GasÊ/ Constant/ Temperature).Density of air (1.29 kg/Nm 3. In other words, a cubic meter of air has a mass of 1.29 kg.Ê

You cannot unless you know the density of the substance involved. A kilogram of gold would sit in your hand but a kilogram of gaseous oxygen would fill the room. A kilogram of water occupies a cubic deciliter. Therefore there are 1000 kilograms (known as a metric tonne) of water in a cubic meter.

1kg = 1/1000g 1 meter = 100 cm . ". 1 cubic meter = 100 x 100 x100 cubic cm = 10^6 cubic centimeter .". 1kg per cubic meter = 1/1000 divided by 10^6 gram per cubic centimeter = 1/1000 gram per cubic centimeter Hope this helps you and others Supo Orimgounje

Sorry, but kilograms is a measure of weight and a cubic meter is a measure of volume. Without knowing what material you have a cubic meter of on hand, you won't be able to know how much it weighs.
A kilogram is a unit of mass. A cubic metre is a unit of volume. Without some unit of density to compare, the two units are incompatible.

You don't - or at least not directly.

Cubic centimeters will tell you a volume, while kilograms will tell you a weight - so they're not immediately comparable. It's like going from gallons to pounds.

You need to know the density of the substance before the question makes any sense.

unless you know the density of the cubic meter, you can't convert the flow rate.

Cubic meters and tonnes are quite different units; to convert one to the other, you also need the density. For example, if the substance has a density of 5 (5 tonnes per cubic meter, equal to 5 times the density of water), just multiply by 5.
