The people of Canada have easily and succesfully obtained ways of living in such harsh tempuratures. One way they have done so is by wearing heavier clothing such as fur coats and thick, sweat pants. Another way is by having, thicl, well-made insulation built-in to their houses.
They dress a little warmer then do those who live more to the south because of their climate and they build buildings to insulate, cool and heat as needed, just the way many other people in the developed world do.
It's actually not very hard, with many welcoming people and a very similar environment to the U.S. It's not the cold, stereotypical igloo Canada.
