A mother Panda Bear will usually only give birth to one cub at a time. If more than one is born, she will pick the stronger of the two to feed. This is because the mother will not produce enough milk too raise more than one at a time. The cub will feel off the mother for 18 months. It can eat small amounts of bamboo at six months, but not enough for it to be the cub's primary food source. When old enough, the mother will play and romp around with it's cub. The father plays no part in raising it's young.
Female pandas provide for their cubs by giving them milk. When a panda is eighteen months they will leave the care of their mothers.
Pandas do take care of their young.
The mothers take care of them
Giant pandas only have one cub at a time, so they always take care of the cub as best they can (excepting the rare circumstance where they abandon their young, which can happen in many species of animal).
There are many reasons why they are being endangered. One: Their habitat is decreasing by the population of China. Also the bamboo they eat is endangered because of the human pressure (atmosphere). Two: Humans are killing them, which is called poaching. It is illegal in China, but they are still doing it. Three: Giant Pandas are having a hard time with the breeding situation. Giant pandas have usually 2 babies each pregnancy, but the mother can only take care of one, so the other usually dies. Also Giant pandas are having a hard time getting pregnant, so they have these reserves to help with that. One of them is called Wolong Nature Reserve.
They take care of their babies like horses do!
it doesn't. once it is old enough to leave the house, it is on its own.Baby giant pandas are extremely vulnerable to being carried away by birds, leopards, and other predators; therefore, giant panda mothers are very protective of their young. Mothers carry their babies around with them everywhere, and baby pandas stay with their mothers until they are three years old. (Sometimes they even continue living with their families after that time, but by that age, they are able to take care of themselves.)
Yes. All mammals take care of their babies.
The way Americans take care of babies!
The survival skills for the panda is they eat bamboo and also hang out with their babies. They also have to take care of their cubs!
