It is a figure of speech also in The Bible it says Lucifer was cast down like lightning. I think that was physical. It's known that they crashed somewhere at the 32 degree line in san diego, California.

Answer:

This fall was prior to the creation of man. This is what caused the earth to become a "...shapeless, chaotic mass..." (Gen.1:2 LVB Living Bible).

"...without form, and void..." (same verse KJV).

(LIT Literal Bible): "...without form and empty...".

"without form": [tohuw] "...to lie waste; a desolation (of surface), i.e. desert; figuratively, a worthless thing; adverbially, in vain..." (Strong's Definitions).

"empty": [bohuw] "...a vacuity, i.e. (superficially) an undistinguishable ruin..." (Strong's Definitions).

We can only imagine the effect Satan and his angelic army had on the earth when they crashed down onto it. Jesus says it was "like lightning" [Luke 10:18] -- like FIRE! A "global fire."

We've seen both "CGI" Computer Graphic Imagery in the movies and documentary renditions of meteors and asteroids striking the earth. Plus, we recently witnessed the very real devastation by such in Russia on a small scale.

Satan and his angels were cast down to earth as a result of the "war in heaven" [Rev.12:7] before man was created. Nothing living on the earth at that time survived the impact of that free-falling cosmic Holocaust [speaking of "dinosaurs"] and the total disruption and ruination of planet earth.

Contrary to popular modern evolutionary belief... the dinosaurs didn't die out "gradually"... but quickly -- in HOURS... MINUTES. Swallowed whole by the quaking, shuddering, shattered earth. No time for slow decomposition... but whole herds of them, both plants and animals... swallowed, compressed with some PRESSURE-COOKED alive in the heat of both the earth's core and the raging furnace on the surface of the planet. Thus, do we still find their remains, today; pockets of crude oil fields beneath the surface of the earth around the world.

In the Genesis account... we're told that God created the heaven and earth [the universe] in the beginning. But it doesn't say how much time passed between the original creation of the universe and the time Satan and his angels launched their war from earth, failed in their attempt, and crashed back down onto the earth.

"I will ascend above the heights of the clouds..." (Isa.14:14). Satan was standing on the earth when he first contemplated his coup attempt against God. Clouds are a phenomenon within the earth's atmosphere. But his heart's desire was to "go to heaven"... and BE GOD.

"For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne... I will be like the Most High." (verses 13-14)

In the beginning... God didn't create the earth "a shapeless ruin"... a "wasted vacuity"... "in vain." God doesn't create anything "imperfectly":

"...God Himself that formed the earth and made it; He hath established it, He created it NOT IN VAIN [God didn't make anything vain; 'empty'; tohuw], He formed it TO BE INHABITED..." (Isa.45:18)

The earth CAME TO BE that way as a result of "the war in heaven" sometime between the time of the beginning and before God made man.

The result was that water covered the earth (verse 2) and put out the fire; cooled things down; evaporation [from the catastrophic global fire]... condensation... precipitation -- the laws of God.

"...And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters." (verse 2)

We have no idea what the face of the earth looked like before the "war in heaven." We only have a continuously revealing fossil record that we try to piece together into how we think it might have been. And both anciently and today we use latitude and longitude whereby we can pin-point a location anywhere on earth.

But the world that then was is not the world we know today. The continents may not have existed then, in the beginning, as they do now. Plus... the land masses of the earth that God restored in the subsequent "seven-day creation account" that follows the ruination of the earth, may even have been altered a second time by the "flood" that occurred later in Noah's day.

So, if the resulting utter destruction of the earth in Genesis 2 is any indication... it doesn't really matter WHERE Satan and his angels "fell to earth." They may have been spread out for miles and hit EVERYWHERE. The WHOLE EARTH was destroyed by it. So, it's obvious that the destruction of the impact was in no way "localized" or "limited" to one place.

Lucifer is one of the many fallen angels. A third of the angels in heaven when Lucifer fell from heaven , fell with him. Some point to Isaiah 14 and Ezekiel 28 as describing Lucifer's fall becoming Satan via 'iniquity' or great injustice or extreme immoral act (see Isaiah 14:12-15):

Ezekiel 28:15New King James Version (NKJV)

15 You were perfect in your ways from the day you were created,

Till iniquity was found in you.

Well it is said that fallen angels are bad angles that did something bad in heaven so they were kicked out.

Second Answer: They are fallen angels and were removed from Heaven. They are called demons or fallen angels. They do exist eternally just as the angels in heaven exist eternally. They are not mortal as humans are mortal. They cannot be allowed back into Heaven. Mortal humans can live eternally and be allowed into Heaven as long as they believe Jesus is the Son of God, declare He is the Son of God and turn away from their sins. Genuine faith is required. Sadly the fallen angels follow Satan and refuse to serve and love God. There are many references to them if you want to look in the Bible. Use a Bible concordance to search for all references to them or use a topical Bible.

Angels in heaven became proud and greedy for power perhaps and became fallen angels like Lucifer.

Answer:

There's no term in the Bible that says "fallen angels."

Neither does the Bible use the phrase: "the fall of man."

These are coined by men, probably derived from a scripture or two that they have read and expanded upon and embellished in their minds.

Scriptures like where Jesus says: "...I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven." (Luke 10:18)

No doubt, the angels that followed Satan "fell" also with him... but, "fallen angels" is still not in the Bible.

Peter speaks of: "...the angels that sinned..." (II Peter 2:4).

Jude talks about: "...angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation..." (Jude 1:6)

According to Peter, then... the "fall" of these angels was due to the fact that they "sinned." [sin is the transgression of the law - I John 3:4]

They "broke the Ten Commandments"... the universal laws of God.

It began with Satan lusting after "God's job" as the Sovereign Authority over the entire universe.

"...for thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the Mount of the Congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the Most High." (Isa.14:13-14)

So if "falling" is a valid term for man to use... then those angels men refer to as "fallen angels" achieved that status by "sinning." By "breaking the laws of God."

Breaking the law is sin, no matter who does it... angels or men.

Why do some angels have black wings and others have white?

When an angel has black wings, it means that they are a "fallen angel". A fallen angel is an angel who has been exiled or banished from their realm. This makes them the "anti-angel". An angel with white wings is the opposite - they are the "good" and pure angels. :D Edit- many images of "fallen angels" portray them with leathery bat-like wings as opposed to feathered bird-like ones. Frequently you will find that black feathered wings denote an Archangel of death (Azrael or Michael for example), not fallen in the mythology at all- in fact they were created first, and are given the job requiring the greatest trust. The equation of white with purity and goodness is maybe a little flawed- it was after all used as an excuse for the maintenance of slavery ;)

What powers are often associated with angels?

The name angel comes from theGreek word angelos which means Messenger. They are very powerful, spiritual being's, the messengers of God-The Creator. They also perform tasks required by God. Protect God's people- Israel- , small children, the true Church, and deliver messages from God. They are not all knowing, they don't know the future, and they are not omnipresent. There are two large categories of angels. The Fallen ones witch join Lucifer( Satan) in rebellion against God, and the remaining True ones with God, led by Archangel Michael. There are several levels of power and knowledge in between those two groups. In the Bible you can find several mentions of encounters between man and angels. There is some common ground for all of them: fear. It seems that the appearance of angels is terrifying.Hope i helped you

Who was Satan mother and siblings?

In the Bible, Satan is a fallen angel, and nowhere in the Bible does it say that angels have family. They are said to merely be beings that are created to serve god. So, if you looked at the Bible for answers, you would find that Lucifer had no mother or siblings. Some people might say that the angels/demons would be somewhat like siblings, because they are all similar and are all creatures of god.
