I got the app and it told me that my graphics card wasn't compatible so I upgraded my graphics card but the app is still only recognising my old GPU. My PC is running Windows 7 Home Premium. Is there any way to fix this so that I can upgrade to Windows 10?
If audio 10 is not working it needs to be reinstalled. You must fist uninstall the old copy and delete all files related to it. After doing this, download and reinstall the program/drivers and reboot the computer.
Open the steam app; the Library should be a dropdown button near the top of the page
The easiest way - is to use the 'add and remove programs' feature in Windows. In Windows 10 - go to Control Panel > Programs & Features. This will list all programs on the computer. Select the one you want and click uninstall. You may have to re-boot your computer after it's finished uninstalling to remove any residual files.

Released in 2015, Microsoft Windows 10 is the successor to Microsoft Windows 8. The new Microsoft Windows 8 interface faced harsh criticism by many users when it removed the familiar start menu of previous versions. Microsoft Windows 10 addressed the criticism by returning the familiar start. Also a problem, the Windows 8 apps were allowed to run as a desktop application instead of requiring the Microsoft Windows 8 app interface. It also introduced the new Microsoft Edge browser that would replace Internet Explorer. Windows 10 is a successor to Windows 8.1. Additionally, Windows 10 just gives your laptop an entirely different experience compared to what you'd usually get on Windows 7 and earlier versions.

Microsoft have a tool you may run to check hardware compability. In most cases Windows 7 machines may run Windows 10. For the limited free upgrade you will need the Windows 7 activation key. If not advanced user the most practical way would be reinstall Windows 7 and activating that first. You can then download and run the upgrading software from Microsoft websites directly onto your machine without a external media.
Yes, data can be moved easily from one version of Windows to another. The problem comes when you wish to move applications. Depending on the way that the conversion from Windows 7 to 10 is accomplished, it may be necessary to reinstall the applications. No matter what, though, be sure to back up any data you definitely want to make sure not to lose since any in-place upgrade has the potential for data loss and a complete reformat (assuming that is what Windows 10 will require) will definitely cause any data that is not backed up to disappear.
