iTunes can sync contacts from iPhone to Mac.

  1. Connect your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to your computer, and then open iTunes.
  2. In iTunes, in the left pane under Devices, click the icon for your device.
  3. In the main iTunes window, click the Info tab.
  4. Select the Sync iCal Calendars check box, and then select the calendars that you want to sync.
  5. Click Apply, and then click Sync.

But you can't view the contacts in iTunes, so you'll need another app FonePaw iOS Transfer to access, view, edit, export or import contacts.

iTunes only can sync content from computer to iPhone and can't do the iPhone to Mac transfer job. So you need a iPhone to Mac transfer to help you to transfer content from iPhone to Mac or iTunes.

You can also simply backup them to iCloud, then import the contacts to the Mac. To import contacts to Mac, you need to visit iCloud.com, click "Contacts", and click the find Settings icon from the left-bottom corner to export them to your Mac.

If you want to find a more easy way to save time and energy, you can try on a tool like AnyTrans to transfer contacts with a few clicks. You could preview and choose selectively to transfer.

Step 1. Run AnyTrans on Mac > Plug in your iPhone.

Step 2: Select the Contacts on the homepage > Click on it to enter the manage page.

Step 3: Pick up the contacts you want to transfer > Click TO Mac button to achieve your goal.

You can also using iTunes to get what you want.

Connect your iPhone to Mac with a USB cable > Launch iTunes > Click iPhone device mark in the upper right hand of iTunes > Click Info tab > Click Sync Contacts.

Contacts are automatically synced from your iPhone to the PC; however, you can specify where you want them to sync to if you have a different program that you want to manage them with in the iPhone's Contact settings on iTunes (on the PC).

With a connection cord. Plug in your iPhone. Go to the iPhone section in iTunes, then click on INFO tab and scroll to the contacts section. Check the box that says "sync address book contacts."

When you connect your iPhone to your computer, it will automatically sync your songs, videos, contacts, etc. (depending on your settings). It will let you choose which contacts you want updated - that of your iPhone or that of your computer. Choose the one you want.

If you have lost some or all of your contacts on your pc, and need to re-load them from your iPhone, just reset your sync history (in Edit->Preferences->Devices) and iTunes will let you re-merge or copy them on next sync.

A direct way to transfer iPhone contacts to your PC would be to use a 3rd party program such as FonePaw iOS Transfer or CopyTrans Contacts (link provided below).

You can also use iTunes and transfer your iPhone contacts by syncing your iPhone with the Sync with Option in the iTunes Info tab set to Windows Contacts. However by syncing your iPhone with iTunes you are risking your iPhone multimedia tracks deleted by iTunes.
