How do I adjust the Air conditioner belt 1990 Mitsubishi Eclipse 1.8L?

Loosen the 12mm bolt on the front of the idler/adjuster pulley. It's the one that holds the pulley onto the adjuster bracket. when it's loose, you can turn the 14mm adjuster bolt on top of the bracket, to adjust the pulley up or down to tighten the belt. When you have the belt properly tensioned, tighten the 12mm bolt on front of the pulley, to lock the pulley into place. This should take care of that awful squeal. Drew
