Google provides a number of ways to share places.
One way is the "Share" menu option in Google Earth which allows you to share your places with the Google Earth Community. You can right-mouse click on a placemark or folder then select "Share with Google Earth Community".
Another way is Google's Map Maker which allows you to make edits to the map, move placemarks, add/changes labels, etc. and if those changes are accepted, your edits/changes will eventually be reflected in Google Earth and Google Maps. Note that Map Maker is not available in all areas and countries.
