They didn't, very often! Elizabeth I washed about once a year and that was about typical. Poor Tudors would stand in a tin tub and tip a bucket over their head, while richer ones would probably have servants to help them, when they could be bothered to wash at all.
they would just air them( outer garments) the under ones would be washed in great vats outside that would take hours. Most of the people would reek of course but in those days every one smelled the same, no one knew any different
