More or less the entire German 6th army was annihilated, the Romanian 3rd and 4th armies were also nearly destroyed as well as the Italian army in Russia. So in other words the axis lost a lot of troops, a lot more than they could afford to loose.
Also showed the rest of the world that Germany was Not invincible.
It tied up and then destroyed large amounts of German war-making capability and kept them from getting control over important Russian oil fields to the south. Psychologically, it showed the Allies that the German Army could be defeated and showed German Generals that Hitler was capable of making major blunders.
The battle of Stalingrad finally showed the West that the Soviets and the allies could beat the Germans, The lost of Stalingrad would have force The Soviet Union to surrender leaving the rest of the Allies without the Russians to keep the eastern front going. Also to the South Of Stalingrad is a city called Baku which held 84% of all the soviet oil supplies with this it would have sufficiently made the Germans more powerful to take on the west.
Battle of Stalingrad was a turning point in World War 2 because at the end of the battle, the German's lost over 80% of it's initial size before the battle. Due to this, the Axis declined from the rapid advancing Soviets. Also it was a crushing defeat for the Germans morally as the entire German 6th Army was either killed or captured.
The Battle of Stalingrad was the first significant German defeat.
If the Germans would have won that battle, then the war probably would have lasted longer than it did.
The Germans were forced to retreat from the Soviet Union
it affected the war cause they now were beating back the German attack which led to the fall of Germany.
because!
During World War II, the initial advance of the Germans into the Soviet Union was halted in December of 1941 in front of Moscow. In their 1942 offensive, the Germans were halted at Stalingrad between August and November, with even more severe losses incurred when their army there finally surrendered in February of 1943.
The Battle of Bunker Hill was fought June 17, ... the Battle of Bunker Hill did not change the strategic situation around ... British Battles: Battle of Bunker Hill;
When the Germans decided to bomb London and other cities, (instead of continuing to attack airfields) during the Battle of Britain, the Royal Air Force recovered and was able to defeat the German Luftwaffe. The victory of the RAF helped the allies to win WW2.
Instead of obtaining allies when a war erupted; NATO allowed us to already have allies to fight a war, anytime it started.
Although the British would like the Americans to think that Britain and the US did the main fighting in Europe; Germany spent 75% of it's fighting resources fighting the USSR (Russians). Translation: the real war in Europe, was Russia's "Great Patriotic War" against Germany.
The Battle of Midway, was a decisive turning point in the WW2 in Asia, and proved costly to Japan.
IN general change is defined as the difference of initial from the final. So change = Final - Initial. Hence change in momentum = Final momentum - initial momentum
Gave the allies control of the sea in that area
D-Day and it didnt change the course of ww2 it was the Battle of stalingrad on Monday 23rd August 1942
because!
conservation of momentum
Conservation of momentum means that momentum is a constant and the change of momentum or force is zero.
Use this formula:Final momentum = (initial momentum) + (change in momentum)
change in momentum
An impulse is a change in momentum.
It is called the momentum-impulse theorem and states that an impulse will change the momentum of an object. For example, if you drop an object when it hits the ground an impulse occurs. The momentum of the object also changes. Jnet = deltap, where deltap is the change in momentum.
