Well, people obviously didn't have the technology that we had then, so, they would either amputate the bone/ body part, or they would splint it with whatever that they would beable to find near by. I hope that helps a little bit. That may be a little short but I hope that it helped.

It is unknown exactly how the pioneers fixed broken bones. Based on the limited medical treatments at the time, it is speculated that they were pulled and set back into normal positions.
