FDR ended the war by dropping 2 atomic bombs on Nagasaki and Hiroshima. He wanted to invent these bombs because of a letter from Albert Einstien saying that the Germans have started figuring out how to make nuclear weapons. FDR had to make the weapons before the Germans and he completed them and dropped them on the 2 japenese cities.
