911 affected people greatly. It changed the way the airport worked, with a huge increase in security. It also made Americans look different towards all Muslims, usually for no reason.
The security at airports are much tighter and there are more controls as to what you can take on an airplane.

Because of terrorists we are now required to be irradiated at the airport, subject to NDA which is where the government can just take you away with no charges no lawyer basically forever. So the response to violence seems to be more violence and each time we have a shooting or anything in the US more average citizens rights are taken away. Anyhow, I think it was much more relaxed pre 911 and we wasted at least 6 trillion dollars on these stupid wars for nothing. We need a small government that can not do all this illegal stuff.
