To add English subtitles on the TV, you can go to the menu with the remote or on the TV. Through the menu you can search for the subtitle command and chose which language to appear on the bottom of a show or movie.
If the DVD itself doesn't have subtitle options, your TV, DVD player, or the movie player on your computer might. First, check your TV remote (and your DVD player remote) for a Subtitles button. If you don't have any luck with that, try playing the movie on your computer: the program that plays the movie for you might have subtitle options.
I have a PC with Windows XP, and my default movie player program is Power DVD. Whenever I play a movie, the program gives me a couple of buttons on the lower right-hand side of my screen. One of those buttons is the "Subtitles" button. If you click it once, you get English subtitles. Click it again, and you get French subtitles. Click it again, and you get Spanish subtitles. Click again, and it turns the subtitles off.
You can read a really good article written on Subtitling go to this link:

Yes. US Movies and Bollywood Movies with Arabic subtitles are popular in Arab countries and the same movies with Hebrew subtitles are popular in Israel. However, a lot of people like to watch movies on television (on tv stations like FOX Movies) than to go to a movie theatre because its cheaper, more convenient, and generally surprising because you have no idea what you are going to see.
