Do you mean in an iron sheet? It is possible to fusion weld a hole in an iron sheet - panel beaters do it every day, but it takes skill. For the amateur, soldering would be an easier option, or perhaps 'pop riveting' a patch over the hole.

One way to repair the holes would be to patch them. Get some sheet metal larger than the hole and use rivets to cover the holes. Paint both areas to help keep the rust to a minimum.
