Okay, first, before you dial their number, enter *67. If you do, the caller ID will come up as restricted # or something like that. (as an example, *67-123-456-7890) When they pick up, use a weird accent and give yourself a stupid fake name. I would suggest writing it down first, because sometimes it's hard to memorize. Then, say you've lost your 2 pets, an octopus named George and a cow named Frank. Then when they hang up, immediately call them back on the real number without *67, to confuse them. When they pick up, shout "APRIL FOOLS!" and hang up.
