What to do when bitten by a snake bite
Keep the bitten area still. You can immobilize the area with an improvised splint made from a board or other stiff material tied to the limb. Don't tie it too tight---you don't want to reduce blood flow. Keep the area of the snake bite lower than the heart. DO NOT cut open the wound and try to suck out the venom. DO NOT put ice on the bitten area. Remove constricting clothing or other objects from the extremity. The area may swell and constricting items will cause tissue death. The only way to truly cure a rattle snake bite, is to treat it with antivenin/antivenom.
You can suck the venom out of a snakebite, yes, but if you had an open wound in your mouth then depending on the type of snake it could kill you. If you had a choice between sucking out the venom or rushing to the nearest hospital, it would be best just to go to the hospital, or use the side of a knife and whatnot to push out the venom, like the pioneers did (Note: like i said, it would be best to go to the hospital and let THEM handle it. They are trained professionals and they know what they are doing.)
The usual method with snake bites is to suck the poison out of the wound (which leads to the old joke about the guy who got bit on the rear end and had his friend call the doctor for instructions hearing his friend say "Doctor says you're gonna die"). This only works for a relatively short time after the venom has been injected; after a few minutes, the venom is dispersed throughout the body and there is no way to "get it out."
Alligators are not venomous. If you are bitten, you should be concerned about dying of blood loss, shock, or being EATEN. You should get to a hospital, where they will clean the wound to prevent infection. Amputations may have to be made.
The best advice for treating snake bites are to clean the wound and dress it in a restrictive but not too tight bandage. The limb should be kept lower than the heart and the victim should not move. Most adults would survive the majority of snake bites however in all cases medical assistance should be sought.
the most you can do is use a tornikay unless you get anti venom
Not well enough to matter.
Yes
Abraham Lincoln said this in response to a young army officer who was in a sharp argument with a fellow soldier. Lincoln was trying to tell this officer to choose his battles..."Better give your path to a dog than be bitten by him in contesting the right." Winning an argument ("killing the dog") will not heal the wounds ("cure the bite") that it can cause.
1. Place a tourniquet between the bite and the heart. Loosen it every 15 minutes.2. Get victim to doctor immediately for an antivenin shot.3. If you are in an isolated area where no doctor is available, give the shot to yourself.Keep the victim as still as possible.Moving around spreads the poison through the body faster Have the victim lie down quietly.Do NOT give stimulants (Coffee, whiskey, any alcoholic drink.) They also spread the poison faster.Get medical help as quickly as you can.If there is no phone to call for help, carry the victim to the nearest phone or doctor.Edit: Sorry - I disagree with the use of a tourniquet. An incorrectly applied one is dangerous and can lead to gangrene in the affected limb. It also depends on what type of venom has been injected as to the effectiveness of the tourniquet. The better solution would be a pressure bandage over the bite area. Additionally - the bite area should be lower than the heart- to slow the spread of the venom through the circulatory system. Placing the patient in a sitting position will do this better than lying the patient down. Snakester1962 (Supervisor)
Probably yes. Here in the Philippines, people sell it and used as a talisman or some sort of spiritual immunity. Typically, in the US it is used as a reference to the traveling salesmen of the 19th century and early 20th century who bottled pretty much anything to sell as a cure-all for everything from the common cold to cancer.
No. Your veterinarian can cure yeast infections of the skin. Garlic will just cure your dog of the burden of its life.
That would depend on what caused the zombiehood. However, there is almost certainly a way to either reverse the cause and effects or to prevent it continuing.
No, it doesn't cure the snake bite. It does, however, reduce the amount of venom flowing through the victim's body. The only cure - is to get to a hospital for treatment with anti-venin.
suck it out with his mouth then listen to acdc
It depends. If it is poison by a snake or a bite you or someone else can suck the poison out of that area through where the animal bit.
Go directly to the hospital for antivenin injections.
Yes - if it's a venomous species that caused the bite. You'd need the correct anti-venin treatment.
you will die
In the Exodus, Moses makes a copper snake which the Jews were supposed to look at and then not die of a snake bite. Seemed to be a psychological medicine, a placebo effecting procedure. After the Bible, someone destroyed some medical book because people were using it to poison people instead of to cure them.
If someone got bitten by a venomous snake, another pioneer would take a knife and cut an "x" at the bite location. They would then suck out the blood and hopefully the poison. Sometimes this worked and sometimes this didn't. If it didn't work the victim would most likely die. If they happen to be lucky enough to survive, the body part that was bitten would normally have to be amputated. If they were bitten on their core, death was almost certain.
the cure is to bite me.i drank the cure so you have to bite me.singed:werevamp i am 1,25713 i live at 10 botanic avenue or come over and bite my cousin at 1187 octave street
Scorpions do not bite, they sting.
