The benefits of studying this terrible topic is so this will never happen again. I know it's strange to be listening to Holocaust survivors talk about their journeys and what happened in the camps, but it's for the better good. ___ The main reason is that it is regarded as a key event in 20th century history.

By making sure that we don't create genocide out of shear lies and racial Propaganda, and to make sure that such a horrific event could never happen again, along with the tyrannical ruling of dictators like Adolf Hitler. Also, to make sure that we don't bring hate into the subject of ruling a country. Another thing we should be aware of is no matter how much you hate a certain race/gender/orientation/religion, that many of the people who you claim to hate are, in many ways, not that different from the people who spout it. Never fall for the same lies that the Germans were fed in the post-war resentment era.

Because we now know that following a policy of appeasement will not work to an individual gaining power in a nation or country. Thankfully, we will never let this happen again.
