To germinate, the pollen grain must land on the stigma of a female flower.

Pollen can spread in many ways. Wind, insects and birds can spread it. Insects and birds use pollen. (for example, bees use pollen to make honey. When they land on a flower to collect pollen, some pollen stick on the skin of the bee. When the bee land on another flower, the pollen sticks on the stigma of the flower.

fertilisation,

a bee would start in its home and fly around for a bit then it will see a pretty flower, yay pretty flowers, and sneak up on it (BOO!) and crawl inside and grab some pollen, bee: ha ha you sucker i have your pollen. then it would fly thought the pretty meadows, YAY pretty meadows, then it says another pretty flower and sneak up on that one to but this one screams but the bee still crawls in and gives the pollen from the last plant to this plant and then it nicks the pollen from this plant and does this over and over again and it brings home a resent for the mrs. some honey, LOL!

Pollen is transferred by wind and by different insects that move it around. Insects such as bees and butterflies are the primary means of transportation for pollen.
