Plexiglas is the trade name of the polymer polymethylmethacrylate. Objects from PMMA are manufactured by extrusion, injection or compression. The method of cells casting was abandoned now.

You could also sandblast one side, be sure to leave paper on other side as not to get over spray on the otherside. Hobby shops have a frosting spray you can use which is less time consuming and easier. and per first answer place frosted surface inside.Answer take a regular sheet of plexi glass and scour one side with a scouring pad and place the scoured side on the inside as to not b seen and it gives a wonderful frosted appearance
