If pollution harms a species severly enough, it will kill them and eventually they'll all be gone. For example, A common theory is that the use of CFCs (chlorofluorocarbons) causes the ozone layer of the atmosphere to deteriorate because it makes the ozone (H2O2) turn into regular oxygen (H2O). Because the ozone layer protects the earth from ultra violet (UV) rays, the protection wears out and causes what people call global warming. The supposed warming of the earth is said to melt the polar icecaps, which is where animals such as seals and polar bears live. With their disappearing habitat, the numbers of such animals have declined, and some say that they may one day become extinct.

Some organisms have adapted to very precise environments, also the melting of the ice caps means animals that require ice will not survive. However i must add that global warming hasn't been proving, as the average global temperature fluctuates massively and over 100 years ago the average global temperature was higher then it is now, even 1000s of years ago it was higher

well, some animals can't survive in a climate their not used to,or not meant for it.For ex:after the Continental Drift of pangea, animals that lived in warm climates were placed in below zero climates, which could have led to their extinction.

hope this helped!

Global Warming affects the habit and daily life of animals in their habitat. For instance, in Antarctica, many icebergs are melting. Polar Bears rely on the ice to find food and survive. Therefore, it there is no ice, it can't find food and will starve. Then slowly, more and more dies and they become extinct. Also, the extreme dry conditions also effect animals. For more information, search 'How does Global Warming cause extinction' on Google and go to the websites. Note*: Who causes global warming? Answer: We humans cause it.
