There's a cycle between pollution and water, which is:

  1. Anything we put in or on the ground seeps into soil and runs off into streams, lakes, rivers which dump into the oceans;
  2. Anything we dump into the oceans (which have been used as trash dumps) ends up in the rain we get on land;
  3. When rain forms over oceans, it picks up air and water pollution from the oceans and returns it to the ground, soil, and us.
  4. The cycle continues endlessly. The only way to break the cycle is to clean up the land/soil and oceans, and control what we do now and in the future.
