Clouds consist of small droplets of water, or for higher clouds, tiny crystals of ice. Clouds reduce the amount of sunlight that reaches the surface, but also trap some of the heat radiated out by the Earth. This can make the climate more harsh (as in the Arctic) or more temperate (as in the tropics).

Clouds can carry and release water as precipitation : rain, sleet, snow, or hail. Clouds low to the ground create fog, which can mix with manmade smoke and exhaust to form smog. Some clouds (large cumulonimbus thunderstorms) create lightning, windstorms, hail, and possibly tornadoes.
well, if its a big, full cloud, it will, naturally, be full of water because of the water cycle and the fact that it rained, and then the clouds evaporated the water vapor. so since the clouds are full of the evaporated water vapor, they get heavy and droopy and then the water pours out, raining. so if there are dark, big clouds in the sky that practically drown out the sun, it will rain.

however, if the clouds are puffy and white, or thin and whispy, the sun will show through andd it will be a beauutiful day outside withhh a brightt sunn<3 [:

Contrails can be considered to be cirrus clouds, since they are structurally the same. These high clouds have a strong tendency to allow shortwave solar radiation to pass through but block longwave (heat) coming up from the earth. So basically, they act as a greenhouse gas, as opposed to lower clouds. If you get a lot of contrails in one area, it can have a minor warming effect on the surface.

since contrails could form into cirrus clouds, and cirrus clouds form a warm front, the weather should change from being warm in the afternoon and cooler at night.

Contrails are formed from the moisture in the exhaust of an airplane. The moisture condenses or crystallizes to form a visible cloud.

Do airplane contrails affect the weather?

No it is the weather that facilitates the production of contrails.

Can we see contrail in all aircrafts?

Not all the time BUT All aircraft can make Contrails that we can see. The weather conditions have to be just right.

What does the cloud name contrails mean?

Contrails is a shortening of condensation trails.

What are jet contrails?

Jet contrails are water condensation resulting from the rapid compression and decompression of the air around the wing as the airplane moves through the atmosphere. The atmospheric conditions have to be just right for contrails to occur, and that is why you sometimes see contrails seem to wink off and on, as the airplane passes through drier air the contrails will stop.

What are contrails?

contrails are "clouds" formed by the hot, humid air from plane/jet engines which mixes with water vapor high in the sky, then turning into ice crystals which then create contrails.

What do you call the trail behind high-flying jets?

These are called "contrails" (short for "condensation trails") and are ice crystals formed from the water released by a jet engine. When jet fuel burns, it creates gases including carbon dioxide, but also substantial water vapor. At high altitudes, the temperature is much lower than on the ground, and water condenses and freezes. Depending on the altitude, wind, and the humidity of the air, contrails can persist for a few seconds or for many hours. When many contrails combine to form long-lasting clouds, they can affect the weather like any other cloud, except that they are higher in the atmosphere.

What is the mission of the airplanes that leave contrails?

To be an airplane with jet engines? All jet airplanes leave contrails.

What is an anthropogenic cloud?

Contrails
