Best Answer

The only likely expense they would pay would be to tear out that part of the building to get to the gas leak to determine why it was leaking. 99.9% of the time, the repair is not covered.

Does home warranty cover underfloor pipe replacement?

Depend on your insurance policy. Most standard policies that i have done thru insurance companies do not cover the pipe. They cover the damage the water or leak causes to the surrounding surfaces. The pipe and plumbing repairs are almost always not a part of the insurance coverage.

Is a water pipe from the street to the house covered if pipe freezes and breaks?

The pipe from the main to the meter is the city's responsibility, from the meter to the house is the home owners. Insurance probably will not cover the pipe but may cover damage caused by the leak. Policies vary.

Does home insurance cover pipeline damage?

Depends where that pipeline is and what happened to it. If its your main pipe coming into your home for water supply and it gets old and rusts out, NO... If the pipe somehow ruptured, its possible, need to read your insurance policy to make sure. As well they may cover damage from the pipe done to the home but not cover the pipe, more info is needed to asses your situation.

Will home owners insurance cover a broken pipe under the slab on your home?

Does homeowners insurance cover plumbing repair to a leaking pipe behind a wall in the house?

AnswerIt may vary state to state but generally NO insurance will not cover the leaking pipe but it will cover the cost to get to it and repair the damage done to get to it as well as cover the damage done from the leak. You are on your own with the cost of the plumber. Best bet is to read your policy on exclusions. If it is not excluded, it's covered.

How does a slab leak and damage usually get covered by the ins co?

The short answer is maybe. If they do cover it, there will be some qualifications, and only a claims adjuster for your company can tell you for sure. Your leak will need to be inside the walls of your foundation. You don't have yard insurance, you have home insurance so a leak on your service line outside of the foundation will not be covered. Sorry, but on the bright side, if that is your leak problem, it is likely the least expensive kind of hidden underground leak to repair. If the leak is on the pressure side of your plumbing and the water under the house comes up through the slab and causes damage to your home or belongings, some portion of the work is very likely to be covered. If you do not have damage to the above slab portions of your home, and the leak is inside the walls of the foundation, you may still be in luck. When you call your adjuster, they may say that they will pay to find the leak, but not to repair the leak. Have no fear! This means that the company will likely pay for the leak detection, pay to remove the slab, and whatever fill stands in the way of repairing the pipe. The company will likely not pay for the actual cutting of the pipe, the pipe and fittings to repair the leak, and the labor to repair the pipe. Then they are likely to cover the cost of fixing your home back to the original shape it was in before the work was started. Only a claims adjuster can tell you for sure, and some companies may not cover any of this at all. If you have had a slab leak problem, please write and let us know how your experience was. Who is your insurance company, and was your leak a covered claim?

Does met life basic insurance cover a broken pipe under your house?

Most home owners policies will cover it unless the water from the broken pipe did not cause any damage to the property.

Your homeowner's insurance will not cover any damage which occured prior to the time you purchased the policy.

Are water pipe leaks covered under home owners insurance?

The occasional water leak is a normal expected part of home ownership and maintenance. Plumbing maintenance is not a scheduled coverage on a home insurance policy. It's just time to call a plumber.

What do you pay before you insurance begins payinh?

It depends on your insurance company, and what kind of insurance you are talking about. Car insurance, you pay deductible if you are at fault and they'll cover the rest of the repairs. If someone else is at fault, that driver will usually pay everything with their insurance. Home insurance, you pay for repairs that are not covered (ie plumber, appliance repair). However, your insurance will pay for any damage that was caused to the actual structure of your home. Say you have a leaky pipe, you pay the plumber, but they'll come in and cover all the damage the leak did. Same for an appliance like a washing machine or a dishwasher/fridge. If those leak and damage your floor or cabinets, you pay to repair it but insurance may cover the damage that was done. Most people have a deductible that you still have to pay but beyond that, they'll pay the rest. Hope that answers your question. ^_^
