In general no it not illegal unless your installing something illegal, like you bought some software and installed it already on your computer. Most software has a legal notice of some kind to let you know how many systems you can use the software on mostly you are only allowed to install it on just one system. Freeware or shareware on the other hand can be installed on as many computers as you want.
First things first... there are 100s if not 1000s of 3rd party free (freeware) and paid (shareware) Internet TV software (or whatever name applies) out there. Ask yourself what type of channels and shows do you really want to watch - favorite sports, sitcoms/episodes, uncensored TV, movies, etc. If you know already what you want, then search the Internet for PC satellite tv, internet tv, or some other search term. Read reviews to find all the popular Internet TV software services and compare them. Stay away from freeware because they don't offer real value and perks. You want the complete package such as tech support, software upgrades, channel updates, and bonuses. It's easy to recommend a software without knowing where your interest lie and not knowing your computer OS - but that would be a mistake. Sometimes a top leading brand isn't the answer, and keep in mind that any Internet TV software whether freeware or shareware can experience a rare crash on your computer. Therefore, be sure to find an Internet TV software service that uses Clickbank, Plimus, PayPal, or some other highly reputable payment processor that offers an iron-clad money back guarantee.
The advantage of freeware and shareware is that it is free. It is possible to get some very good programs that way. Such programs include firefox and gmail. The disadvantages are that some programs that come that way come with computer viruses and Trojan horses. They infect your computer and take it over. They steal your credit card information. There is a lot of false information on the internet. It will cost money to have a virus removed from this particular computer! The voice of experience speaks.
Haha-freeware?! Anime artists are professionals, and use software that costs hundreds to thousands of dollars. Also, it's most likely software that is only in Japanese, so if you don't know Japanese, you'll have lots of trouble trying to figure it out.
Free game design software can be found online on freeware websites. However do not go online and download software that you know is illegal, That would be bad.
If you are just linking back to their download page then that should not be a problem as most will be grateful for the extra coverage. They would let you know and ask you to remove the link if they felt it was inappropriate.
Ok well i dont know what specificly you are looking for as of like Bios and video drivers updates you can go on lots of websites like dell.com alienware.com mac.com ect. For freeware and software like lets say music i use frostwire does have viruses sometimes but i always catch it for free music, for programs you can try uturret is a good one. you can find lots of stuff on there.
Anytime you download software the will be executed on your computer, you face risks. Make sure you know the source of the software. Then you can judge whether or not the level of risk is acceptable vs. the potential benefits of the software.
none. It's much better to get a good anti-virus program (like AVG-Free Edition) The free software download site I use the most is zdnet.com. There is also freedownloads.com and tucows.com. They are all great sites for good free software. There are certain sites out there such as freewarebb.com that carefully decides what downloads should be listed and which should not. We go even further than just making sure downloads are virus free, we check the developers website too which I know most other download sites don't do. When we do find annoyances which aren't dangerous, we make the user aware of that too so cover all bases. When we see a freeware developer going bad, we publicise it to warn others - who else does that?!! As for zdnet (download.com) and tucows.com, they bundle their own form of adware in their downloads now so I'd steer clear of them!
