Farrah Fawcett began as a Television actress and was best known in this role. This is a diferent origin than say, Lucy Ball, who originally acted in Radio drama ( not confined to comedy roles, by the way) and movies and Jumped to TV post war. Following the Tv-to Movies trajectory on the male angle would be Mr. Travolta. John Travolta began as a TV actor- situation one-shot drama ( The Boy in the Plastic Bubble) -and later was a regular character on Welcome Back, Kotter, before making the leap into moviedom. Again, Ms Fawcett is primarily remembered as a television actress. She was NOT secretary of State under Nixon, which is an obvious pun on her last name and the Watergate scandal!
