Yes it does. Often times not enough time is spent in getting to know a person well: the good, the bad, and the ugly before marriage. If the ugly only comes out after marriage, it can often lead to divorce if you married thinking you would only experience the good. But be realistic. A person can only hold that best foot forward for so long. After marriage, the best foot is withdrawn and real life takes its place. Nothing wrong with that. We all do it. When you marry, be realistic and be ready to work at the marriage and not let the marriage work at you. Marriage is much more than legal sex. If you're not ready for the hard work of marriage, please don't get married. Enough with the statistics already!
