You may view any medical records pertaining to you. You may NOT alter them but you can "contest" information that is contained within them by entering into the medical file a written complaint or explanation.

∙ 15y agoThe Secretary of State for Health. ADDED: In the US the patient is the ultimate "owner" of the information. However, the medical provider or institution which produced them are the "custodians" of these records and, as such, may charge a reasonable fee to have them reproduced and forwarded to the patient or his designee.
